HAND Foundation Fellow to teach at Sharif University this summer

   
HAND Research Foundation Fellow Kaveh Majlesi will teach a short course at Sharif University in Tehran, Iran this summer. The course will focus on the "labor market effects of opening up to trade in developing countries." Opening up to trade has had important effects on the level of inequality, poverty, and unemployment in many developing nations. Majlesi will cover the literature on these effects and the mechanisms through which opening up to trade affects the labor market.
